Through a thorough interdisciplinary approach, the team at the Wound Care Institute follows specific therapeutic pathways in order to treat, manage and ultimately heal chronic or slow-healing wounds. X-ray diagnostics, vascular testing, surgical debridement and patient education are all crucial components of our patients’ care.
Patients suffering from more aggressive wounds are a high priority at the Wound Care Institute. In special cases, more advanced surgical approaches may be necessary. These may include skin grafting and specialized vascular surgery techniques. Qualifying individuals in search of advanced treatment options are also invited to participate in clinical trials. All are available through the expertise of the accomplished team at the Wound Care Institute. It is well known that early intervention and treatment are the cornerstones to better prognostic outcomes and quality of life issues for patients.
